The Duckhorn Portfolio is North America’s premier luxury wine company. We were established in 1976 by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn. Today, our portfolio features some of North America’s most revered wineries, including Decoy, Paraduxx, Goldeneye, Migration, Canvasback, Calera, Kosta Browne, Greenwing and Postmark.

The Market Manager is responsible for achieving maximum sales potential throughout the assigned market by meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals and budgeted expenses. This position must uphold the integrity of the company by following its guidelines and meeting its expectations, goals, and mission. In working towards this, the Market Manager will access company resources, tools and products and apply them to maximize sales potential measured by sales and contribution achievements.

What we will ask you to do:
•  Achieves budgeted sales goals for the market.
•  Communicates and recaps monthly depletion targets/programming calendars with wholesalers.
•  Works with their direct manager to forecast Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Depletions for Sonoma Cutrer in New England market.
•  Builds a mutually beneficial relationship with the distributor network.
•  Maximizes sales potential measured by budget and by percentage of wines sold in that market.
•  Collaborates with distributor(s) to increase market share by acquiring new accounts, growing sales in existing accounts, and developing key account relationships.
•  Becomes an active member of the wine community through frequent and positive interaction with the rest of the industry and key wholesaler personnel.
•  Works with their direct manager to develop and implement specific pricing and programming strategies for Sonoma Cutrer.
•  Recommends and implements decisions based on results of analysis that enhance the brand equity of Sonoma Cutrer.
•  Recommends and substantiates budgeting needs, sales tactics and strategies, appropriate size of account base, pricing, on/off mix, etc.
•  Becomes proficient with all mechanics of The Duckhorn Portfolio allocations, shipping, software and philosophy.
•  Advises on the needs for and manage monthly operational and sales budget.
•  Creates and manages monthly, quarterly, and yearly distributor incentive programs.
•  Works with distributor(s) to ensure national account program implementation and compliance.
•  Works with the distributor to monitor Sonoma Cutrer focus periods and initiatives (i.e., Fast Starts)

What you will need:
•  BA or BS in Business or related field
•  Minimum 4 years of sales experience in wine industry at distributor and/or supplier level
•  Excellent written and oral communication skills
•  Good computer and math skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
•  Diver & Dynamics 365 knowledge desirable
•  Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
•  Event and/or banquet experience desirable
