Job Description:

Andante Vineyard is located near Dallas, Oregon in the heart of the Willamette Valley, within the Van Duzer Corridor AVA.

We invite enthusiastic, dedicated individuals who share our core values and love of all things vine to wine to join us in the role of Harvest Intern. This is a very comprehensive internship and a rare opportunity to be part of a small tight-knit team and work hands-on with a wide variety of small-lot wines. Our goal and key principles for harvest are to maintain a safe and fun atmosphere while we dedicate ourselves to high-quality winemaking. Our team members will be fully trained to perform and confidently complete a comprehensive range of cellar and winemaking duties.

The harvest intern position generally begins at the end of August or beginning of September and runs through October/November depending on the season.

Our ideal candidate has a passion for wine, keen eye for detail and sanitation, is a hard worker who thrives in a team environment, and is eager to pitch in wherever needed. Forklift skills and experience are a plus! You should be able to commit to long hours, overtime, weekend work, and must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

We focus on the production of small lot Pinot Noir, Gamay, Rosé of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Aligoté and Marsanne.

Cellar job duties will include but are not limited to, vineyard sampling, fruit receiving, sorting, fermentation management, cap management, pressing, wine movements, additions, barrel prep/filling, winery sanitation and other general winery operations.

Lunch will be provided throughout harvest, and dinner when the days run extra-long.

Requirements and Desired Qualifications:
•  Basic knowledge of winemaking preferred
•  At least 1 harvest experience is a plus
•  Must be organized with acute attention to details
•  Ability to communicate effectively in English
•  Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, safely
•  Must have legal United States work eligibility
•  Motivated and passionate about wine
•  Able to lift 50 lbs.
•  Ability to follow standard operating procedures and adhere to safety procedures.
•  Reliable mode of transportation
