We are a mid-sized winery producing exceptional no/low-input wine in both California and Oregon. We make Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Gamay, and Syrah. Passion for wine, common sense, commitment to excellence, and attention to detail are essential.

This is a hands-on position requiring daily cellar work. We are looking for a professional, hard-working team player with the ability to maintain winery sanitation standards and work to maximize productivity and efficiency in all cellar operations.


SUMMARY:
Working under the direction of the winemaking team, the cellar hand is responsible for assisting in all aspects of wine production operations to ensure that wine quality, safety requirements, standard operating procedures, productivity goals and timelines are met or exceeded. You’ll help direct temporary cellar staff, managing our team by working alongside them. You will be responsible for all aspects cellar operations

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Harvest- vineyard sampling, cleaning, cellar maintenance, fermentation maintenance, bottling
•  Data Entry
•  Cellar inventory and upkeep
•  Upholding safety standards
•  Training Interns


REQUIREMENTS:
•  2+ years experience in a cellar
•  High level of proficiency in forklift operation
•  Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
•  Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
•  Ability to perform work duties inside and outdoors in all weather conditions
•  Must have a valid driver's license
•  Keen eye for detail - not allowing any wine or cellar maintenance to be forgotten
•  Ability to work extended hours during harvest
•  Ability to speak and write clearly in English
•  Proficient in basic math skills, spreadsheets, communication
•  Practical knowledge of all cellar operations
•  Knowledge of and commitment to observe safety procedures
•  Ability to operate various types of equipment/machinery including, but not limited to pumps, presses, filters, and pallet jacks
