JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hospitality Tasting Room Associate serves as the first point of contact for the majority of Duck Pond Cellars and Ransom Wine and Spirits’s customers. They are ambassadors of the brand and are expected to embody the customer service ideals of the company. This position focuses on customer service, event execution and management along with daily Tasting Room upkeep and service.

Position Requirements Summary:
Duck Pond Cellars and Ransom Wine and Spirits is an extremely experience oriented and service-oriented establishment and exceptional customer service skills are an absolute necessity. The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining premium customer service is key. A Tasting Room Associate must not only have ample knowledge about wine, harvest and wine making methods, Distillery operation and spirits, and other Willamette Valley wine knowledge, but must also be extremely high energy and detail oriented.

Core job requirements:

•  Graciously welcome every tasting room customer
•  Provide exceptional customer service
•  Gauge a customer promptly and respond by meeting their individual needs
•  Educate customers regarding wine and spirits, our history and our facility
•  Promote our various wine clubs to every customer and skillfully close sales and club sign-ups
•  Handle purchases using POS system and provide retail-related guidance to customers
•  Conduct facility tours and tastings for scheduled groups
•  Attend monthly and tri-annually held meetings
•  Other duties as assigned by management
•  Answer phones and emails
•  Schedule Reservations
•  Perform daily/weekly tasks in regards to Tasting Room maintenance and upkeep

Additional requirements:

•  Must be 21 years or older
•  Team player, energetic, hard-working, friendly, trustworthy and reliable
•  Excellent verbal and communication skills
•  Previous retail sales experience required
•  Previous hospitality/service industry is preferred
•  Spirits or bartending/mixology knowledge is a plus
•  Flexible schedule, weekend and holiday availability is required
•  Detail-oriented
•  A valid drivers’ license and OLCC server’s permit
•  Ability to lift 40 lbs (case of wine) repeatedly throughout the day
•  Must maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, health, and safety
•  High level of comfort with using multiple computer programs for scheduling, hours submission, goal tracking and training, tour scheduling and ringing up customers
