Job Description:

Position Summary: Boisset Collection is looking for an experienced and driven Logistics Assistant to join the dynamic and fast growing negociant brand, Precision Wine Company. This individual will play an integral role within a small team, acting as point person for shipping logistics, tracking, and inventory administrative management of wine between multiple bottling facilities and warehouses. Strong communication skills and acute attention to detail will be critical to the success of this role. This position has a high responsibility level working with multiple individuals and reports to the Operations Manager.

Essential Duties:

•  Led logistics on Glass movement between vendor and bottler:

oMaintain the glass movement schedule.

oHandle bulk glass logistics communicating with the team.

oCoordinate the repack glass logistics through the entire process.
•  Responsible for carton purchasing:

oWork with team on carton purchasing supply and demand to maintain adequate inventory.

oCreate purchase orders for all carton orders.

oParticipate in meetings when carton review details are needed provide appropriate information in a format that is easy to understand.
•  Coordinate repacking assembly and serve as communication lead for the process:

oReview repacks in weekly meetings.

oCreate repack work orders.

oCommunicate with team to ensure they are completed accurately and on time.
•  Participate in monthly reporting for bottlings and repacks.
•  Assist as directed by leadership in quarterly physical inventory counts.
•  Ensure data management software is maintained for all key items as directed by Operations Manager and other team members.
•  Participate in occasional dry goods pick-up as needed.
•  Support back insert, slip sheets, and corner boards.
•  Comply with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures. Participate in safety training and report all unsafe conditions or work practices.
•  Participate in team efforts and perform additional duties as needed.

Required Skills:

Language: Ability to speak and understand basic English required for all positions.
•  Ability to read and interpret documents such as memos, instructions, policies and manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to present information effectively to vendors. Excellent communications skills and a positive attitude are a plus.

Math:

•  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately, using standard American units of currency, weight, volume, and/or distance. Ability to recognize and correct inaccuracies when using calculator or computer spreadsheet.

Logic:

•  Ability to apply common sense understanding to a variety of tasks and duties. Ability to adapt to minor changes in routine, solve basic problems, and work with moderate supervision. A self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Computer:

•  Possess strong computer skills which can include e-mail, internet, word processing, spreadsheet and basic database activity.

Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses:

•  Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school; or 2-4 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•  Current, valid Driver's License, insurable driving record, and proof of current automobile insurance required.

Physical Requirements:

Light-moderate physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach, handle items, and work with the fingers. May require lifting and moving objects up to 40 lbs in weight. Clear vision, close and distant, and ability to adjust focus. Hearing adequate for telephone and office level conversation.

Work Environment:

An indoor and outdoor environment with variable lighting, temperature and/or ventilation. Areas may or may not be heated, air-conditioned, or shaded. Outdoor periods frequently required in changing weather conditions. Exposure to fumes and/or a variety of chemicals. Moderate to high noise levels typical of machinery, power tools, vehicles, and other equipment. (Note: PPE provided for all workers.)

Schedule and Travel Requirements:

•  Regular business schedule: Monday through Friday. Overtime as needed and per approval.
•  Local travel required as needed (Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino & San Joaquin Counties)
•  Position does not typically require overnight travel.
