Job Description:

We are looking for a few cellar harvest and 1 vineyard intern to join our small winemaking team. Cellar August-November and vineyard July-November

We have 250 acres of vineyards in Lodi, CA and are home to the Bechthold Cinsault, the oldest Cinsault vineyard in the world, planted in 1886. Among our other vineyards are our Royal Tee Zinfandel vineyard planted 1889 and Carignane planted in 1900.

We’re looking for people who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty and work overtime.

Cellar duties include:
•  Operating and sanitizing crush equipment (destemmer, sorting table, pumps, etc.)
•  Racking, barrel-downs, pump-overs and wine transfers
•  Pressing and draining, both red and whites
•  Monitoring fermentations
•  Yeast and nutrient additions
•  Assist with sampling vineyards to check Brix

Vineyard duties:
•  Tracking vineyard physiology
•  Sampling vineyards
•  Analysis of samples (sugar, ph, ta, weights)
•  Help with cellar work as needed

Physical Requirements:
•  Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
•  Ability to bend, squat and lift 50 lbs.
•  Able to work long hours and overtime including weekends.
•  Perform work duties in various weather conditions outdoors and indoors.
•  Forklift driving experience preferred, but not necessary.
