Inventory Control Analyst

Job Description:

The Inventory Control Analyst will ensure accurate inventory reporting and tracking, analyze inventory data, identify issues, and resolve inventory imbalances across all locations. This position collaborates closely with all aspects of the organization and will provide timely and accurate information on inventory availability, planning, and sales analysis.

Responsibilities:

Exercise discretion and independent judgement to analyze inventory movements and identify control gaps in the current process, communicate those gaps, and make recommendations to address and close any issues.

Lead the monthly inventory counts and reconciliation to the financial system; create and communicate month end reporting for inventory reconciliations.

Assist with annual inventory audit with the external audit company.

Responsible for the integrity of the operational transactions including transfers, new SKU setup, and promotional use of bottled wine.

Provide assistance with FTL transfers across the country.

Support Wine Club Manager and Director by providing consistent and clear communication and regular inventory reports.

Update inventory status on multiple POS systems and update key stakeholders as required.

Provide support to warehouse teams on order discrepancies across all sales channels.

Develop and maintain inventory reporting for winery leadership including analysis by channel of sales, allocations, promos, and wine loss/adjustments.

Manage daily sales uploads from Magento and V360 sales systems, ensuring sales data is complete and accurate. Work closely with accounting staff to identify and correct any discrepancies.

Communicate monthly with all departments to ensure transparency across the business regarding the status of bottled wines available for sale, release of new wines, and wine allocations.

Communicate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at an external warehouse.

Assist with compliance administration activities to ensure adherence to regulatory and tax requirements (e.g., Winegrower Tax Return, Winegrower Blenders Report, Excise
Taxes, sales/use taxes); prepare and file 702’s and other tax returns and as required; compile financial information for external tax preparers.

Crosstrain the key responsibilities of the Finance Manager and serve as the primary backup during his absences or when additional support is needed.

Handle additional responsibilities as required by management.


Qualifications

Degree in accounting or finance related field and minimum 2 years of inventory and accounting/finance experience in the wine industry is desired.
Excellent communication skills and able to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization.
Highly motivated, results oriented individual who excels in a dynamic environment.
Advanced Excel and systems skills. JET, Business Central, WMS a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across all departments.
Self starter with ability to work independently and exercise professional judgement with minimal supervision.
Is intellectually curious and continuously challenges the status quo in search of a better way.
Hands - on, analytical, detail oriented, and strong work ethic.

Compensation & Benefits:

Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. New hires are not started at the top of the range.
The position is eligible for bonus.
