Founded in 2013, Hocking Hills Winery is a family owned and operated winery located in the heart of the Hocking Hills. Hocking Hills Winery is the region's first winery. Our award-winning wines are produced using grapes grown locally in our vineyard as well as from grapes and juice from around Ohio and the rest of the country. We at Hocking Hills Winery are dedicated to releasing the grapes natural characteristics to achieve premium quality table wines.

Overview of Position:
The Vineyard Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of our vineyard located in Logan, Ohio. This managerial position involves leading the vineyard and grounds team to ensure the delivery of crop yields and quality that align with our operational goals. Responsibilities include all aspects of vineyard and grounds management, from planning and field preparation to harvest. We are currently in the process of installing approximately 16 acres of vineyard, which will include a blend of hybrid and vinifera vines.

Responsibilities:
•  Manage the daily activity, training, and development of vineyard and grounds labor.
•  Ensure safety and compliance with all laws and company policies.
•  Coordinate equipment movement and ensure proper setup and usage, performing routine equipment servicing as needed.
•  Implement fungicide programs with the use of spray.
•  Supervise canopy management tasks and ensure timely execution.
•  Oversee vineyard operations, including mowing, cultivation, and seeding.
•  Maintain cleanliness of the vineyard, shop, and surrounding grounds.
•  Track employee hours and maintain timecards.
•  Monitor for diseases and pests.

Qualifications:
•  Experience in agricultural management, particularly in viticultural or agricultural enterprises.
•  Positive attitude, strong work ethic, exceptional communication skills, and a team player mentality.
•  Previous experience in management or supervision within a vineyard or grounds management preferred.
•  Strong attention to detail, good project management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
•  Familiarity in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn other related computer programs and databases.
•  Proficiency with operating hand/power tools and farm machinery, including tractors, sprayers, herbicide applicators, and zero-turns.
•  Prior experience in vineyard or farm work is highly desirable.
•  Commitment to working in a safety-conscious environment.
•  Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
•  Physical capability to handle tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting weights up to 65 pounds.
•  Strong dexterity and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and self-motivate.
